第26回　日本盆栽大観展

全国の盆栽・水石の愛好家が丹精込めて育てた松柏（しょうはく）、雑木（ぞうき）、皐月（さつき）、小品、創作の各盆栽と水石の逸品を一堂に集めた第26回の本盆栽大観展が開催される。

会期＝11月23日（木）－27日（月）　午前9時－午後4時半（最終日同4時）

会場＝京都市勧業館・みやこめっせ（左京区岡崎）

展示＝全国から公募・厳選された盆栽と水石300席、ほか特別出品14席

入場料＝当日券800円、前売り券700円（中学生以上）、20人以上団体割引

前売り券販売所＝京都市勧業館、京都劇場、ぜスト御池、文化パルク常用、パルコ大津店、ファミリーマート、セブンイレブン、ローソン各店舗、KBS京都ほか京都新聞文化センターで発売中

950-year-old Buddhist artifact shown for 1st time

KYOTO-Part of a canopy that usually hangs over a 950-year-old Buddhist statue was opened  for public display Friday for first time. A part of the box-shaped section,which measures 1.3meters tall, 4.8meters long and 4.6meterswide,will be exhibited until Dec.11 at the Byodo-in Museum,where visitors can take a close look at its glided arabesque  carvings.Monsho Kamii,head priest of the temple, said:”This will be the first and last time the beauty of the Heian dynasty will be seen so closely. the canopy was created in the hope of spreading the Buddha’s salvation equally, far and wide all across the world.”

紅葉見ごろやや遅め
